Dr. Phil's Sample Breakfast


  • Raspberries (or other seasonal fresh fruit)
  • Multigrain bread (1 slice)
  • Egg (poached)
  • Coffee or tea

Basic Pancakes


  • 1/2 cup soy powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • cooking oil
  1. Combine first four ingredients in a blender. Heat 8-inch omelett pan or skillet covered with oil. When oil is piping hot, add 3 tablespoons of batter. Spread evenly inpan. Saute quickly one side, then the other. Put pancake on platter and finish batter.
  2. These pancakes can be used as a base for canneloni, lasagna, blintzes, even pizza.

Breakfast Bruschetta by Suzanne Sommers


  • 4 slices of multigrain bread
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 sweet onion, thinkly sliced
  1. Toast or grill the bread until lightly browned. Top with ripe tomato slices, salt and pepper to taste, and fresh basil leaves.
  2. You can also use thickly sliced Vidalia onion rings on top of the tomatoes if the taste is not too strong for your palette in the moring.
